Hi all,
Just sharing the problem I have with my Noopsyche K7 minis, which I decided to use for my nanos and now my 40L. Great little light, but what bothers me is this:

The flex arm doesn't reach to the middle of a tank when attached to the back glass of an AIO, despite being optimal for an 18"x18" space (note, display depth of the 14L AIO is about 15"). And you can see the the arm is fully flexed where the rigid part ends. It also puts the light close to the tank surface (not as visible here since the tank isn't full of water yet).

There are no 18" or 24" brackets available. So, Amazon to the rescue!

First, the small rod that connects to the flex arm connects via an M6 screw. So, you can find M6 "standoffs" on Amazon (no luck browsing through Home Depot):

These work and let you vary the length that the light mount can go to. With the biggest standoff, the light is now centered over the display:

And you can combine multiples to extend the length and potentially raise the light higher (and still be centered) or even be able to angle the light a bit towards the back (as opposed to towards the front which is necessary without standoffs):

It isn't the prettiest solution, but better than buying two different type of expensive flex arms (e.g. AI or Kessil goosenecks) and jerry-rigging it to hold the light.

Let me know if you've found any better solutions, and I'll be more than happy to try them out! Thanks!
