Quick Plumbing Question.

I'm in the process of setting up a 135g cube (36x36 with center back wall overflowbox) and want get some reassurance on my plumbing before spending the money. I've got 1.5" and 1" bulkhead and was thinking of the herbie style drain. Now would you have the 1.5" pipe be the main drain line and the 1" as the emergency drain or the other way around? I'm going to have the returns go up the back and just over the top and looking at some sea swirls. Probably going to get a pair of 3/4" to have on each side of the tank. Let me know if there's something better or if this is good. TIA

I would use the 1.5 as an emergency drain. If the main is blocked, it will fully cover the flow. The opposite way may not.
