good morning everyone, I have a real quick question in regards to my dosing schedule. I currently dose two part in my reefer 450 using the Neptune DOS and alternate between ALK/CAL every 6 hours (ex: ALK for 6 hours, CAL for 6 hours, back to ALK for 6 hours and end the day with CAL for 6 hours) I do have a 30 min or so gap in between dosing since I know it’s not recommended to mix them both together. Anyways my question would be if this schedule is ok for two part dosing or should I change this up or it really doesnt matter as long as I’m dosing what my tank takes up.
I’ve read that some folks like to dose ALK through out the night cause of PH issues, I really don’t have a ph issue since I’m getting air from the outside and feeding it through my skimmer just really want to know if a certain schedule makes a difference. Thanks

You need to find out first what your tank/corals consumption rate is in 24hrs.

Dosing without knowing this is not a good thing to do.

My tank is consuming about 6ml of ALK and 3 ml of CAL. I do have a low load but hope to add more later

That you can easily keep up with a water change.
I was dosing on one point 280 ml on my ALK.
