This is quite the sad day. As you are all well aware, the one time thing will go wrong is when you aren't around. This was the case for me being gone the last couple of days, in my absence a little nem decided to go on a walk right into the side of my big birdsnest. This was hurried picture this morning (sorry about the 10k sunrise light and dirty glass)

I guess moral of the story here is even if you think you're too busy to look at your tank, do it. Because this sucks, such an odd one with green/blue polyps and orange undertone. Maybe I'll be able to save a few frags off this before it all goes. But in either case, here's this beauty in its glory last week.

Maybe I won't go for that nem, looking to start a birdsnest colony myself... Sorry for your loss!

Thank you, It's a gamble sometimes when keeping nems in a full reef tank. I cut probably 15 frags to see how much I could save, so it's an odds game now to see if any of them make it. The rest is in one of the frag tanks :(

That sucks!!! I love nems and symbiotic clown relationship, but I'll never have nems in a sps display again. Have lost many coral from them multiplying and moving around!!
It can be done, but once they start splitting......sigh......
