Moderator of the Month is just small way in which the community at R2R can say thanks to those who work hard every day making this a great forum to be a part of! Every month we will be announcing a Moderator of the Month! In addition to being recognized the mod of the month will be awarded a prize of $100.

Name: Krista Guogas
What does your screen name mean?
I chose the name SeahorseKeeper because I have always been intrigued by seahorses and I am currently keeping seahorses. They are part of the reason why I got into the hobby.
How long have you been a member of R2R??
Since May 2012
Why do you like to moderate the forums?
I enjoy helping others to learn about the hobby. I know I have learned a ton and continue to learn from other members. When I joined, I felt that there was a family atmosphere and was hooked from the moment I joined. I hope to help the forum to continue to grow.
What is your tank like?
Currently, I have two tanks. My first tank is my seahorse tank. It is a 30 gallon, half moon tank with a foam rock wall. The livestock is simple with a h. erectus, cardinal and mandarin. My other tank is a 55 gallon mixed reef tank. I used this tank to get me prepped to care for my seahorses.
What would your dream tank be like?
I have always loved the waterfall style tanks, so I would incorporate this into my dream tank. The tanks would be rimless. There would be three DT's where the first one would be a planted tank with a ssargassum. The water would waterfall into another tank that would be a mixed reef. Finally, the that tank would flow into a frag grow out tank.
What other hobbies do you have?
My other hobbies include pretty much anything outdoors, especially if it involves the beach. I am also starting to get into photography.
