This is a thread to share health and successful weight loss stories. Losing weight and staying healthy can be a roller-coaster ride and not all of us have a support group that we can turn to. So R2R can be our support in reefing and staying healthy.

Post all your success stories and struggles here, and let's cheer each other on! :cheer2:

:snicker: Who doesn't?

I'm naturally scrawny but I'm going on two years smoke free :) the best part is my kids were young enough to never remember me as a smoker. Since I quit I'm slowly feeling healthier but its pretty slow going, it takes a long time to fix 15 years of damage.

Well congrats on being naturally scrawny!!! Not a lot of people get to enjoy food without thinking of calories in the back of their minds, constantly! And double congrats on not smoking! That is an accomplishment indeed!! :clap2:

Well.. Deployed in Feb 2011... over 5 months lost 45 lbs.. Super in shape and strong. Then... I came home and chilled out and did my fish tank hobby!! lol. Now I have to PT test again in August.. So time to go back to the gym for another 90 score and have another year off! Gained 30 of that 45 back EASY. lol.

I was a big boy my entire life til I was around 20. I'm 5'11" and weighed 230lbs all throughout high school and I've always been chubby. Now I'm 5'11" and 160lbs and I can't stop losing weight. Stress is hands down the best diet ever! lol

Men! You gain and loose like there's nothing to it. Women, however, agonize over losing it, and then gains it back by just looking at the wrong food! :tsk:

Well, minus the stress, I'm sure you feel like a million bucks! I was quite the opposite. I always stayed in shape in school because of sports! :cheer2: Now it's an every day battle! It's so easy not to exercise when you're not being made! :violin:

265 at my heaviest. Down to 222+ or -. Want to get down to 210 but don't know if that is too light for my frame. I am lighter now than when I was on active duty Army and when I got married 20 years ago. I did it by using a Weight Watchers clone program on my smart phone and walking.

I was a skinny kid.... When I graduated high school I weighed 145lbs and I could run the mile in 5.5 min. Now I couldn't even think about running a mile and need to to loose about 25 lbs....

Wow! Great job!

Yeah I feel a bit better...I wish I could find a before and after picture lol

Would love to see it! We have a boy at our church who was always heavy in school, and lost 80 lbs when he got out. Through some random saying, we found out he was good friends with my sister, and that they hadn't seen each other since high school. Long story short, he had always had a crush on her, and now they're getting married!

This is of me in the middle of high school I think...
