IMPORTANT HOLIDAY SHIPPING UPDATE
Wow, what a roller coaster this season has been. With delivery delay concerns we opted not to ship Thanksgiving week, this was followed by unusually extreme cold forcing us to delay shipping another week for the safety of our product. Fortunately we had a break in the cold which is scheduled to continue through this coming week's shipping cycle. Shipping the week of Dec 15-17 will commence as scheduled. As always we strive to provide the best possible service while maintaining the best possible outcomes for the animals in our care.
WE GOT THE REEF!
With this in mind, Christmas and New Years Day both fall on Thursday this year making shipping the weeks of December 22 & 29 fraught with uncertainty regarding delays especially during the high shipping season. For this reason, and to allow us to focus on friends and family during this blessed holiday season, Reef By Steele will not be shipping after December 17th through January 4th. We will resume normal shipping on January 5th. At which time we will focus on shipping orders in the order they were received. Based on this last shipping week, we should have the ability to ship all orders placed during this down time the week of January 5th.
As a family owned small business, we rely on your continued support to provide everyone with the quality reefing products you have come to expect from us. For this reason we will be offering various discounts as we move through this time to encourage purchases with the expected delays. While these offers may vary, you can expect them to be larger discounts earlier in the promotion, while wait times are the longest.

through Midnight Sunday December 14th. Place orders by then to ensure shipping this coming week. While we will make every effort to ship orders placed the first of the week, we cannot guarantee shipment on orders placed after Midnight Sunday.
COLD WEATHER NOTICE!!
DOA losses are more to us than just a financial burden, we truly care about the animals we provide. So much so, that Sherry and I feel as bad about the loss of CUC shipped as we do when we lose CUC in our personal tanks. Thus we attempt to provide the best preparation of these animals as possible. For this reason, we do not ship CUC when low temps fall below freezing in standard packaging and below 20 degrees in styrofoam upgrades. Overnight styrofoam can be discussed for urgent requests as we can provide enough heat for that duration, but only with customer consent. Pods and Phyto are often more resilient there are concerns when temps are in extreme ranges.
Be sure to review your local weather forecast and order with the appropriate packaging and speed. While we check a US map for temperatures, they may not reflect your precise local weather. We review local temps when packaging, but that is often too late to reach out for upgrades since the product has already been packaged and prepped for shipping (especially pods and phyto). If you do not select appropriate packaging at check out, please reach out and we can process upgrades to ensure successful delivery.
