Hey everyone! This is my build thread. I have been in the Saltwater about 18yrs. I took a huge loss during Hurricane Matthew and flushed, buried or donated to my compost about $7500k in losses. It was truly devastating. I spent about 3.5 yrs without at least 1 Reef running.I am back in the game now. 14weeks in with this tank.

Equipment:
Innovative Marine 30L, 2 Noopsyche k7 Pro II, Reef Octopus Classic 90 HOB and obviously just the other stuff. I am about to add a 10g Triton Method Sump. Exact iDip570 Testing Kit(It’s Awesome!!)

Filtration:
I stepped away from ocean harvested rock, and decided to try 35# Carib-Sea Real Rock. I have a DSB with Carib-Sea Arag Alive, Responsibly Harvested Bahamian Oolite, and some Miracle Mud.
Chaeto in-sump

Livestock:
Paired Clownfish F- Ocellaris & M- Snowflake
Purple Dottyback
Bunch of different Zoas:
Radioactive Bams
Fruit Loops
Pink Diamond
Radioactive Monsters
Hawaiian People Eaters
Laser Lemons
Fire and Ice
Blueberry Pie
Eagle Eye
Sakura Sunrise
Screaming Hawks
Gorilla Nipples
NY Knicks

Everything Else:
Avatar Chalice
Blue-Green Frogspawn
Purple Aussie Hammer
Duncan
Christmas Favia
Hulk Lepto
Superman Monti
Gold Rush Monti
Green Stylo
Incredible Hulk
Green Ricordea
Rising Phoenix ASD
Forest Fire Mushroom
Green BTA

3 different Acros that I need names on

Pics coming soon!! Thanks for dropping by and hopefully some of you will follow along with my build.

Here are some photos. I really need to do some research on shooting Reef pics with the iPhone12 or maybe buy one of the clip on filter kits.

Ah. I want to run a drain and return to a frag tank, but I don’t love the idea of a siphon overflow. I really need to go back to having a sump.
I have thought about emptying the sump in the IM30, dropping the water level in the display and drilling it out. I’m not sure which is more uncomfortable, a siphon overflow or trying to drill the tank

Which HOB overflow did you end up going with?

So I needed up going with the CPR 300 with Tom’s Aqualifter, an EcoReef 100l sump and an Orlushy return pump. It came out really great and my tank is benefiting from it already.

Pics? I ordered a nano overflow. Comes tomorrow. I am only using it for frag tanks tho not filtration.
