Radion change over generations

Hey,
I'm wondering how much the radion xr3w has changed over the generations. I found someone selling a gen 1 for quite cheap. What par and programmability could I expect in this model, and how would it change in the gen 2 etc.

The biggest changes have been spread and spectrum. Each generation improved, sometimes significantly, on those two key aspects. They also do have a life limit to them and I *think* you would have to replace the pucks with G3. (G4 are not backwards compatible)

That for all that info. I guess most ppl would end up putting g3 bulbs into the g1s. Is all the programmability etc the same?

ESL is the same for gen 1's through gen 4's.

Some you might want to consider is to do the upgrade from the gen 1 to gen 3.
No telling how much longer these upgrades will be available.
