rainbow acans not rainbow anymore

i picked up a frag of some rainbow acans last week ive had them on the sand bed under my 6x39w tek elite. In the past week they have went from rainbow to bright red/orange is this just from too much light? they were under leds at the store

Sounds like it to me. Try to shade them a little and see how they change.

ok i have also been feeding them fauna lps pellets can this have any effect on them changing color? or should i continue to feed them

It happens to all of us. rainbow are easily lost in shipping, change of light, too much light. Try to shade it, feed it, and give it low to med flow. It'll take months but it'll come back. Goodluck

I would continue feeding them. I use Fauna Marin myself and mine have never looked better!

I have found rainbow acans need shade to hold the rainbow colors.all of my rainbows top polyps lose the rainbow color while the side polyps hold the color.Indirect lighting IMO is the key to holding the colors.
