In my 10 gallon I got one mocha storm clownfirsh, one TR ice clownfish, one head orange hammer, two head hammer, dragon soul favia, white zombie zoa, blue lagoon zoa, pink flower pot, gold torch, bicolor frogspawn, octospawn, and a rainbow anemone. I just put in the anemone, gold torch and two head hammer today. Does the anemone look healthy?

Thank You for the help

I turn off the wavemaker and filter to feed the clownfishes and notice the rainbow anemone mouth is open.

They open their mouths to feed and poop, that's not inherently a thing to worry about, but white rock isn't a good sign. Agreed about the system likely needing to be more established. Also, that anemone can be expected to get at least as wide as the tank is- a fully grown BTA will take up half a 10gal or more. Not only that, healthy BTAs split and multiply. They're best kept in 30 gallons at minimum, and even a 30gal will generally end up anemone-dominated.

Agree on the newness of rocks, anemones need fully cured rock with lots of crags n holes in them in wich to root their foot into. They like to roam around till settled they will go over your corals if in the way so early additions to tank but after you've allowed some nice corralines to grow. I put mine in after corals....yup I fell in love with a xbreed clownfish so had to get new had a few but like rose bta the best. After info on bta closing up...how long can they stay closed and live? And what causes this so I can investigate my reef?
