I was given this “rainbow blasto” about 2 years ago now as a single head. It’s a very slow grower. It’s one of the brightest corals in the tank but doesn’t seem very rainbow to me. A few swirls of green here and there.. would less light bright out more of the colors? It’s on the sand but still gets maybe 350 par.

Yes, have all of mine in indirect lower light and they color up quite well.

A quick google for par levels for blastos indicates 75-150. Seems like way too much light :(

It was given to me and my system is not setup for low light corals.. It seems happy in its current spot, just lacks the 3rd and 4th colors for what I’d consider a rainbow coral. I’ll push it back into some indirect light and see if anything changes in terms of coloration
