Rainbow Bubble Tip vs. Rainbow

So I called my local fish store because I noticed they had set up an anemone tank and had what I thought were some rbt’s but when I asked they said they only had rainbows and no bubble tips. I feel stupid but I thought the term “rainbow” and “rainbow bubble tip” were interchangeable and the same thing. If not, what’s the difference between a rainbow and a rbt?

thats odd rainbows and rainbow bubble tips are the same thing, I don't know why they are saying they aren't, rainbow is just a strain of the bta like how other strains are rose, nexus burst, Colorado sunburst, Darth Vader, black widow, etc

they said these prices over the phone for rainbows but said nexus were more expensive and i was like “i thought you didn’t have bubble tip?” and they said they didn’t have nexus bubble tip just regular
smalls: 74$
mediums: 99$

that seems pretty on point for pricing as far as the small rainbow bubble tips, are you looking for a nexus burst? because they definetly are more expensive

yeah and honestly if you don't want to spend more money on their larger ones small is fine as not only do you get to see it grow but they grow pretty fast, especially rbtas even my slower growing csb grew about a half inch in a month lol

the nexus are a little out of my price range rn but hopefully for my larger saltwater tank i’m setting up I can get one then!

yeah typically they command a higher price because of their grafted pattern and them being on the higher end side, but definetly make sure to find out if you ever have any local swaps or shows in your area as you can find some great deals with other hobbyists especially when it comes to nems, hows the tank been doing btw?

BTAs either have stringy or bubbled tips. No one really knows why. In my nem tank some bubble some don’t

so far I've observed with my csb that it seems to be lighting related ( at least with mine)

I’ve tried everything lol I could never figure it out! Same nems , more bubbly here
