Rainbow bubble tip

Just purchased a rainbow bubble tip anemone. Any advice for a beginner on anemones? I didn’t some research prior but maybe you guys can help more

don't try to move it forcefully if you don't like it's location, anemone go where anemone dang well pleases.

cover your powerheads if it ventures off your rock.

don't add clown anemone shrimp... looks cool at first but it ticked off my nem so much that it started walking around, and now the nem looks like crap.

depends on what you have. there are nem guards designed for the ecotech MP series, and other ones on eBay.

you can buy one of those 3d printed ones online or print yourself if you have a printer. I don't think anyone makes them specifically for the jebaos.

My temporary ph cover which I remove a month after the nem settled in one spot. The mesh is a vermicelli noodle bag that can be found in Asian super market. I eat this type of noodle so it is basically free.

The nem just went in the tank and it already attached but I guess we’ll see for how long that lasts

Once settled, they rarely move unless something changed like light and flow. If you get a split, the new one might move.

Here’s a photo of it so far hasn’t fully opened up yet. Not my preferred spot but it shall do. I have 2 clowns and hope it will host them

+1 just added my first BTAs. I set them on top of a rock. They crawled into the newest crevice. After some time they kept the foot within the crevice but extended and expand outside of it

Let it settle. Mine crawled into a cave. Was there just slightly extended for a couple weeks then decided to extend out of the cave and looks happy

It moved to another location today opened up a little so we shall see in the next few days whatsup. Do you think I should feed while it’s shrunk up? Also what would you suggest to feed if so

I feed mine frozen krill on occasion. It will catch other things that i put in the tank. Plus my clowns feed them. I have two one rainbow and one acid wash. I really enjoy bubble tips! They have never moved once they found a places the acid wash went from one side of my tank to the complete other. My Rainbow stayed exactly where i put it.

I would let it settle. It should find its happy place. Mine will usually capture some rods each evening when the fish are fed. Couple times a week I will shoot some at it with a Turkey baster to make sure it gets a meal
