Anyone have any experience keeping raimbow
Loom ?
Are they a hardier acro ?
The colours are very nice but the price is a lot cheaper compared to the rainbow splice

at $50 can for a Frag I might consider trying one .

Definitely cheaper than rainbow splice! They are commonly available and not particularly difficult (for an SPS). I do suggest Googling colony pictures of the loom however so you can see what they will turn into. Frags can sometimes be misleading with their color combinations.

I have RR rainbow loom that I purchased from BigAlls in Kitchener (that is what the label said) and it looks like what Joe462 shows.
The one in your picture looks different so maybe there are different types or they have different growth patterns. The one in your picture has nicer colours.

Although it’s not my picture . It was taken from a Canadian vendor as advertised . But as another comment they change colour as they grow into colonies If it were to stay the same , I might consider picking up a few to try and let grow .
They have a few others called rainbow sticks , but not as bright coloured

To clarify the one I have the polyps are not as well defined (more like post 3) vs. the picture you have. Almost makes it seem like different species or perhaps as it grows they get more pronounced. Now when I got it, it was really a nub not a frag or nice piece you show so perhaps my still needs another year to grow.
If you don’t mind me asking where did you find it, $50 sounds reasonable for that piece. My nub was $35 year or so ago.

I have been receiving their newsletters for awhile and even message them often if I’m looking for something specific .
