I'm going to be moving and due to limited space, I won't be able to use the current stand for my 20g tank and 10g sump. The tanks will be on a different stand and be side by side. What I need to do is raise the display tank at least 3 inches so it can drain to the sump. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a platform that I can put the display tank on? Otherwise I was thinking of putting together several layers of plywood or a combo with 2x4's. Any feedback/advice is appreciated.

A 2x4 box, built on their edges, with a plywood top would definitely work. You could skin it with nicer wood if looks are important.
