Hello,
I'm using a used ranco temperature controller. I forgot how to get rid of the error e1 when i press up or down!

It works well. Moved to my next build and i can't setup the temperature i want to set.

Online manuals say i need to get to programming mode.... which i can't for some reason

Here's pic.

Hey kris,

It’s been a while since I programmed mine. Did you try to hit set key which should set it into program. Then set again to set the temp. Maybe also try to unplug it and plug it back in.

  1. Locate the LCD window and the keypad on your Ranco ETC thermostat. ...
  2. Press the "Set" key on the keypad to begin programming the thermostat. ...
  3. Press the "Set" key a second time to access the set-point menu. ...
  4. Press the "Set" key a third time to access the thermostat's differential menu

I have a Rancor controller on one of my chillers. We have been doing some cleaning so it's been moved and now it quit working (it will only heat). There is a purple coated wire that goes into the bottom of the Rancor controller that does not seem to be connected to anything. Could this be the problem? The load and common wires are firmly attached.
