So I posted this here to see if the light was the reason. I went against my own rules did too many things at once . I added another heater saw negative effects so turned it down to 74 from 81 Stopped dosing K+ and A- stopped using Seachem Zoo Plankton , saw no dramatic improvement but some. and this morning moved my lights further out over the display same height. One thing I might have done wrong was to double dose the Seachem and dump it directly into the display. I really cant say which was the main factor . But have to believe it was the lighting ie too little. Huge improvement over about3-4 hours . That will be the last over post to your thread Thanks.Hope you don't

What about something like a garf or a cali tort, blue and green or I guess some may call that purple. Ponape birdsnest would look really nice there.New Colony?
Since it seems like the anemone is happier where it is, I’m
musing about getting a hard coral colony to place on top of the rock island (center left in picture below). It’s a very central part of the tank that is clearly empty.
Since I had poor luck with shipped frags and better luck with local corals, I have been monitoring the local board for folks looking to offload colonies. I may contact some local folks as well.
I’m thinking something blue or yellow or green would look good on the rock island.
Thoughts?

A large Cali tort would be great. I tried a shipped one and it failed. A pink birdnest would also be nice.

A pink wouldnt be bad I just like the Ponape better. I forget all the names of corals so easy anymore. I have a nice acro that is from the pics online reverse of the cali tort. It may actually be a cali tort just more blue/purple than others, it was sold as a cali I think...lol but growth tips are green not blueish. Anyway it would look stunning there!

I’ve heard that mounted “healed” acros ship better than fresh cuts like you received. Almost all mounted corals I’ve received from reputable sellers came in fine.
