Whos going to be at Reefapalooza in NYC this June? Just booked my room at Meadows. Never been to NYC before, so I've built a weekend itinerary. After RAP I'm doing the NYC PASS (6 top attractions), plus central park/zoo.

I will be there. You might want to check out the announcement thread where a few people have chimed in. I plan on wearing a R2R shirt for one of the days.

I've never done the PASS tour, but my wife likes to drag me to the city at least a few times a year. I like to get out of the main tourist areas by a couple blocks and eat at Mom & Pop ethnic eateries. They're tough to beat, and I can't find any decent ethnic foods in the Poconos. Since you're just going to be there for the day, I'd suggest just staying on the main drags.

Here's three of my favorite eateries in the theater area:
McHale's Irish Pub, right by the Gershwin Theater. It's a nice, quiet place when I've been there around lunch time. I wouldn't bring my younger kids there because the chairs are all pretty high and it's more of a fine dining type of atmosphere. I'd say about 10 and up would be fine, basically kids who can stay in their seats and not be screaming their heads off will be golden. I'm a fan of their Old Fashioned, and the bangers and mash are to die for.

Le Pain Quotidien. We had a nice breakfast there, along with some of the best espresso I've ever had. Very family friendly atmosphere.

Playwright Celtic Pub. I imagine it can get loud and quite party like at night, but it's quite family friendly when I've been there in the afternoon. The burgers were great.

In all honesty, I've never had bad food in NYC. Just keep in mind that their board of health gives eateries letter grades that will be posted near the entrance, and I stick to the A's.

Public restrooms aren't the most available thing. We tend to gravitate around the New York Marriott Marquis because there's a bar, gift shop, and large public restroom on the 8th (I think) floor that's always open.

Dude your the best! Thanks and hope I run into you. I'll be wearing the r2r cartoon t-shirt "saltwater aquarist - what I do."

Luckily my brother lives there and he'll be my tour guide lol.

I will be at RAP next weekend if anyone has any questions or needs any help with anything let me know
