Some of you may know that over the years I have traveled to many locations around the world to help set coral and clam farms or to build special relationships with export partners.

One such area is Jakarta, Indonesia. I've traveled there every few weeks many dozens of times. I have a very close association with several suppliers there. I only import from these few trusted suppliers that I've visited many times and hand-picked from.

Some of these suppliers are large well-known exporters and others are small specialty exporters.

These trips are quite an adventure, taking 27+ hours of flying time plus layovers, delays, etc. And, I'll often be on the ground in Jakarta less than 24 hours before doing the same flying time back. As I get older the travel takes it's toll. You may ask, then why do it? Well, every time I go I find things I'd never be able to acquire otherwise. Plus, I love doing it and I very much appreciate the relationships I've developed over the years. Like anything else, over time I develop a certain rhythm and this lessens some of the burden.

One thing that never changes is that every time I go there I get digestive problems, to put it nicely! For a huge modern city, Jakarta is very backwards as far as drinking water purification and all the ramifications that entails. One the first times I was there I wound up in the hospital for some IV fluids and antibiotics. Now I take metronidazole and antibiotics prophylactically and avoid eating anything while there and drinking only bottled water from reliable sources. Over time I've also developed a better routine of probiotics and a stricter regime.

Anyway, I thought I'd highlight a few unusual LPS corals from Indonesia and offer them at a R2R EXCLUSIVE PRICE.
