Hi Charlie - You reaction is certainly not what I was after. My post was genuine light hearted humor, a pun, a play on words. The only reaction intended was generating a smile or a laugh. I don't think that warrants being called an attention seeking troll, even if you missed the intent.

I also didn't realize that I had already posted a similar joke already in this thread. If I had, I wouldn't have posted a second one, but I do tend to post on direct puns when I see them and this was in my view. It is humor. Show me your hammers, frogspawn, torches that kind of thing.

Enjoy your thread, I wouldn't know a rare hammer vs a common hammer, but there are plenty of nice photos here.

I understood the joke. My response wasn't based on whether I understood the pun or whether this particular comment, viewed in isolation, could be considered harmless.

It's based on the broader pattern of your posts and interactions on this forum. You routinely insert yourself into threads in ways that provoke arguments, get other members upset, and ultimately drag moderators into petty disputes. I've seen it happen repeatedly, including with people other than me.

So no, I don't believe this was simply an innocent joke that I happened to "miss." At some point, when the same person repeatedly generates the same kind of conflict, it's reasonable to look at the pattern rather than accept each individual incident as an unrelated misunderstanding.

I've said what I needed to say and tagged the moderators. They can make their own determination. I'm not going to derail the thread further debating your intentions with you.

That is an open admission that you understood this was humor, yet used it as pretense to attack me anyway based on your now openly stated disdain for me, and tagging the mods as if I were the one who attacked you or did anything wrong here.

Both posts were meant in fun, in the spirit of the thread, a public post in a public forum. Similar to literally dozens of similar posts I make across this site, that are taken exactly as they are intended, fun.

You may have personal feelings toward me, but your attack was unprovoked and you can't expect no response.

I gave you an honest, kind answer to an unexpected attack, giving you the benefit of the doubt that you may had misunderstood. I got a second, sharper attack in return. You put me in a position to defend myself in a thread that didn't need it. There was no prior argument, I wasn't making one, just posting something that played on the thread title. Nothing veiled, no hidden jab at you or anyone, no opinion attached. A literal fun meme on the thread title. You used it to pick a fight.

Attacking me, unprovoked, to generate an argument to accuse me of generating arguments, derailing your own thread to report me as a troll derailing your thread is patently ridiculous.

If you dislike me or my posts, blocking me or a private report to staff would have been the right move. If I had known or even remotely thought that your reaction was going to be to attack me, I would have never posted in the first place.

I will not be posting in this thread again. I did not come here for confrontation. My intent was purely humor, not an unprovoked argument about my personal character. Please refrain from personal attacks.

You're mischaracterizing what I said. I don't have some personal disdain for you, and this isn't about whether I understood the joke.

My issue is your pattern of behavior on this forum. Your post history is full of unnecessary arguments, confrontational exchanges with other members, and petty disputes that repeatedly end up involving moderators. That's not a conclusion I've reached because of this one post or because I personally dislike you. It's based on watching the same behavior play out over and over again.

So when you appear in my thread for the second time with another throwaway post that contributes nothing to the discussion, I'm going to view it in the context of that history. You can characterize each individual interaction as innocent, unprovoked, or someone else misunderstanding you, but at some point the recurring pattern matters.

And frankly, this response is exactly why I tagged the moderators rather than getting into an extended argument with you. You've now written several paragraphs turning a request to stop derailing the thread into another dispute about yourself.

You've said you won't post in the thread again, so that's perfectly fine with me. I'm happy to leave it there and let the moderators decide whether my concern was warranted.

I didn't mischaracterize a word. This is a third personal attack, on top of claiming I mischaracterized the first two as personal attacks. You said you wouldn't debate this further, then attacked again anyway, and now a third time, hiding behind the fact that I said I wouldn't post again, while accusing me of being the one who can't stop.

You quite literally manufactured a fight over a well-intentioned post that you openly admitted you understood was humor, escalated it with personal attacks, then pointed at my defense as proof of the pattern you accused me of. You cite "petty disputes that repeatedly end up involving moderators," then manufactured one and called the moderators yourself. Your unprovoked attacks derailed your thread, not me. A thread that you hadn't posted to since January of 2024!

There was no recurring pattern in this thread that gives you license to attack me, other than your own opinion of my posts elsewhere.

I posted twice, over a year apart, September 2024 and now, both plays on the thread title. I didn't even realize that I had posted here before. It's how I engage with countless other threads, wordplay on the title or topic or posts within.


You claim to have context on my posts, so you also know these fun takes are posted daily. Innocent, clean humor, nothing to misunderstand, unless you're directly ignoring context as pretext for confrontation. We have never shared thread space or had a single interaction anywhere else on this site until you attacked me here. That is the very definition of an unprovoked personal attack, it is not a characterization, it is a fact.

one thing I’ve been wondering about are the hologram rainbow hammer. Are they really that “rainbow” ? Or is it mostly editing? Haven’t seen it in real life that’s why I’m asking
