RBTA after split question

My RBTA was getting to big and stinging or at least irritating everything near it. I decided to adjust the aquascape slightly to protect the other coral and give him a little more room. Apparently this stressed him enough to cause him to split. Now there's two hiding, but healthy bubble tips. My question is, the smaller off the two has "dropped" three tentacles that I can see in the sand. I say dropped because they appear to still be inflated. And they change shapes just like they would on the animal. Both are hosting, and I would imagine if the clowns tore them, they wouldn't remain inflated. Is it possible for the tentacles to turn into an anenome?

Negative, unless they have a piece of the oral disc and mouth attached. Tentacles alone are simply appendages.

Agreed with statement above, I've never seen it happen from the tentacles. When they split on there own, I've seen a few tentacles floating around in the water.

I've never witness a tentacles changing into a nem.
