Rbta dying or splitting?

It looked perfectly fine and healthy this morning has been moving around the tank because I just got it yesterday came home to it in a very well lit spot with moderate flow looking like this. There are little stringy bits hanging off

It's not happy. how old is the tank and what are your parameters? lighting?

The tank is 1.5 years old
Nitrates > 2 ppm
Nitrites 0
Ph 8.2
Alkalinity is 179
My ammonia 0.5-0.25
Lights are standard jbj lights on a timer 10h day and the rest blue leds
