Just got home from my daughter’s musical to my anemone looking like this. Is it dying? It’s never looked like this. Is the brown part hanging near the front possibly dead tissue and I should remove it? I don’t want it to kill everything in the tank if it dies overnight. Also a picture of it last night for comparison (nothing has changed since then - did a water change yesterday morning). Should I leave it? Thanks in advance!

(It’s been in the same spot for several days: Temp is 77, phos .2, ammonia/nitrite 0, nitrate 9. )

They do routinely inflate and deflate. Have you checked the basic water chemistry?

Ok cool. Double check the specific gravity.
Typically the BTA will start expanding again soon or split.
I would wait and watch unfortunately. A dying anemone often releases.
