Hello everyone I am in the process of re aquascaping my red sea max nano 26 gallon peninsula. Reason I started this journey is I had a nice pair of clowns and a royal gramma in the tank and after about a year I tried to add 1 more fish. Well the female clown did not take lightly to that so my thought process behind this was I have taken the clowns out of the tank and put them in a temporary tank for now then I want to add the other fish first that I want in my tank. Then I will put the clowns back in being the last fish to go back in the original tank. I’d like to hears everyone’s thoughts on if they think this could work and the clowns will have forgotten how territorial they use to be. Thanks

What type of Clowns?
Are you wanting to add more fish, and if so what type?

They are ocellaris. The clowns are out of the tank now for at least a week hoping to add the new fish.

Firefish
Diamondgoby
Tailspot Blenny
The longer you can leave them out the better. Firefish are skittish, and get stressed easily. What do you think about a Royal Gramma? Strong attitude, great coloration, will stand it's ground against Clowns.

Than go for it definitely. :)
I like the Dottybacks because they of their strong personalities against Clowns.
There's not a lot of suggestions because of the tank size and current inhabitants.
Bicolor Dottyback, Cherub Angelfish pushing it. YWG pushing it gallon wise.
Yellow Damsel perhaps.
There's a few Gobies that might work.

The only inhabitant I have put in the tank is a diamond goby. But the clowns are out till I get the other fish in first
