While the uv looks.great most corals are found between 30 and 60 feet. I doubt they would recieve that much uv at those depths. But why not try it?

This is for macroalgae...

Oh sorry! Yes maybe good as a supplemental light but not as a standalone imo. But if you combined this one and the 660 flower, maybe you could replicate the potential of the kessil 380 without thr huge cost.

Yea for sure not stand alone. This is their recommended combo for growth: "Combining the two blue PowerVEG lights (420 & 460) with the FS+UV produces a powerful spectrum targeting early stages of plant growth."

I would think due to spread through the chaeto mass, all costs aside, this could stomp kessil LED grow lights.

Only one way to find out :) please share if you do it. Any idea how much to set one up costs?

The real benefit over the kessil grow light imo is that the tube is longer and the kessil covers just 24" iirc. So youd definitely could cover the larger sumps like mine for my 200 gallon. My sump is a 75 gallon. 5 feet long. So that would be beneficial for sure. Not sure what uv does for plants.

Bulbs seem to be about the same cost as ATI. I'd probably just run them with a $100 amazon t5 fixture.
