I wanted to start a thread for your new zoas. If you purchased a frag or colony within the past month give us a view. Please don't post your favorite zoas you've had for the past year, just newbies.

I got these about 3 weeks ago at a club social:

Eagle eyes on one side and an unnamed zoa frag

Just got these today! RPEs my new favorite. You can see that the polyp on the side is still adjusting. Silly newb!

I wasn't going to get any new zoas, but since RPEs are palys they are not affected by the POX.

I have stuck all my infected zoas into a QT tank for now. I'll wait and see what happens.

Al you got a PM

seriously? wow, i had no idea about that one. i figured since its all the same genus/species (zoanthid sp. ;) ), pretty much the same DNA, thus can be infected by the same bacteria/viruses/parasites.

Yeah, my palys have no POX issues at all. And, a lot of other zoa people have noticed the same thing. The unfortunate thing is that I dont' want to ship out anything in my tank for fear that these POX may be hiding in the live rock or frag mount.
