Recommendations for ORP probe that works with hydros

Make sure the probe cable is not near the power cable for the pump. Also make sure the probe is not near the pump. The current the pump draws can cause a inductive current in the probe or probe cable. This can also happen with other probes like pH and salinity.

The PH probe went wild, too, which made me say, "AH HA!" Alas, my current setup is still in transition (see build thread ongoing nightmares ;) , and the little sump under my tank has no room to keep them apart. But I'll keep the darn 10m wire somewhere far away in the future.

Still I would get the probe as far from the pump as you can get them. Just a few inches make make a big difference in the inteferrence.

Yeah, I know. See the build thread; the sump is so tiny, and I'm ignoring the error for now and shutting down my ozone. Now, if I can figure out how to keep the Hyrdos collective from blasting notifications on my phone and watching every hour again - note they are priority alerts that go right through DND ...

Set notification level to none for the pH and the ORP inputs. In the screenshot below it is set to none near the bottom.

Thanks—again, I am the village idiot. I should have thought of that instead of looking in my phone's app settings.

That way it will only stop the alerts that are in question. Once you get it where there is no interference in the future just set the alert level back. No problem there is a learning curve to any controller.

Good to know, I have no issues now but im going to go ahead and move it to avoid that problem.
