Recommended protein skimmer

I have a 72 bowfront with a 20 long sump and would like a recommendation on a in sump protein skimmer that would fit in a 6" by 11" section of my sump

Aquac ev120 is a great skimmer and would fit.the ev 180 may fit as well

SWC 160 or 180 small foot print, silent running, and works like a horse.

With those dimensions, I couldn't come up with a single in sump skimmer, and everyone listed above is taller than your 11"

The SWC 160 has a 9x7 foot print you can set it a angle to fit?? The motor is inside the cone not outside.

The dimensions I read on it, on several sites was
7.25 x 6 x 18" tall

Unless im totally on the wrong Skimmer, which i guess is possible.

I don't get it??? Why does the height matter? The person gave the size of the sump not the overall depth?
So question to pelagichunter954? What height can the skimmer be?

I have the scw 120, and it's actually a little smaller than it says it is. I think they are acounting for the cord on the 7.25 measurment, it's actually just under 7 and just under 6. I did not measure height. great skimmer, I am using it on a 55g. at any rate i would recommend this skimmer over and over again.

It can be extremely high I have alot o room to go up and down the only dimensions that matter are the 6x12

I had a 75gal with a 55gal sump minus 20gal and was heavy sps/lps and the SWC 160 then 180 worked like a champ. I now use a AquaMaxx EM 300 since I increased in tank size.

You can find the AquaMaxx EM at the Glass.hole and have it in 3days and cheaper than any place out there.

I just searched on there site, and I only see the AM aquamaxx

Then they are out. I purchased two EM300 two months ago from them because everywhere else was back logged for a half year on getting them in and paid $299 each. Which was the best deal out there. The AquaMaxx AM 150 is also a good skimmer.

Hands down the AquaMaxx EM100. It worked beautifully on my 110g with 30g sump. Removed what my SRO 2000 could not.

Would an asm g3 too big for a 72 bowfront with a 30 gallon sump? I have room for it I just don't know if it would be too big for the amount of water

No such thing as to big. If it fits, run it.

I was reading reviews that said they take out trace elements and don't work properly without enough protein coming into them
