Yep, the 1000 is a molded impeller so the magnet and pw are stuck together. The sicce psk2500 could come apart. The new one doesn't have directional issue's and is more quiet.

From what I've read, the 1000 doesn't pull as much air as the 2500 w/ the RD wheel.

It don't people are willing to sacrifice that for a quieter non rotational issue pump... Lol

I don't find my 2500 noisy and my rotational issues are solved by plugging and unplugging the skimmer pump until it rotate correctly. Not that difficult at all.

Raising the dead here will this needle wheel work on a sedra 5000 pump???
