I was told it's a plain red montipora but over the last day I have noticed some green polyps apearing is this normal. This is the best picture I can get of it some advice and a positive ID would be apreciated and does it look happy enough the thing you can see under it is not aptasia it's a skeleton of an old coral it has grown over

Thanks sent a picture to my LFS and they have said it's morphing so I'm not sure if that's a good or bad sign.

A little bit of an update it's still morphing but into what as yet not got a clue here is an upto date picture looks really cool though some polyps have gone in as lights on the way down and nearly on all blues now.

It was in the other person's tank for like 2 years and was only ever red so why the change ?

He had it under MH and I use LED probably why then :)

Got a picture of the montipora this morning when lights are out you can see the new growth onto the rock so must be doing something right :)

I will have to move that mushroom over soon to give it more space
