Have more red mushrooms then I can count, they are so out of control that they have even managed to jump into my 90. Very first coral I ever bought not knowing that someday I would be calling it a weed. Any idea how to remove.

Good luck is all I can say... I'm in the same boat. I pick them up off the sand every day, 2-3 at a time. I stopped trying to save them. They are weeds and are even growing where there is no light.
I've tried scraping them off the rocks. Aptasia x in the mouth seems to work, but given the number, I'm not convinced.

I’m debating on putting predator corals next to them hoping that they might uproot and move some so I can grab them while they’re moving but I’m not sure how well that would work. Cant Remove the rocks due to the fact that there’s other things growing on them. They’re a total pain and taking up too much real estate in both aquariums

I've tried surrounding them with all sorts of coral... elegance, torches... nothing bothers them. They are like cockroaches!

Can't have leathers of pretty much anything other then stuff that doesn't do well for me with chsbs and csb's but mushrooms are all good
The problem is they take up so much real estate and they grow so fast. There’s no room for anything else :(

Yup! I have them on their own rock now and they still break off and cause havoc. What gets me it that the LFS sells them for $20 a frag. I'd be retired...

Wow I cant keep mushrooms alive for more than a few weeks.

may I ask what your water and lighting parameters are:

mine are:
nitrates 20
Phosphate 1.0
Alk 10
Salinity 1.028
Temp 79
pH 8.3
Mg 1500
Ca 480

i have lots of zoas and dose iodine lugols one a week

placed in bottom of tank in shady spot, then a little brighter spot, played with flows; broadcast feed food that is “good” for mushrooms; detached from plugs, rocks, rolled away in the night as I cant see them

also tried a plastic holder to contain them

So idk???

Salinity is pretty high as is magnesium and calcium. Those seem the most problematic. I think you are overmixing your salt as that would cause both those issues.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
