Curious if anyone has seen/experienced this...

It does not rub off, and has a detectable edge/texture... Seems almost as if a red coralline is trying to grow/develop on it.

This started appearing, after removing from the fuge and tossed into fluval spec with a cheap led grow light. The main tank is..6 weeks old, the spec..a month

This piece has been in there, a week approx
