I would do red,but thats just me,I like rare and exoitc things,the red or more rare than blue,but both are exotic,so honsetly,if you tank was big enough I would do both,I know a guy who had done it.
 
Unless you can get a truly beautiful red one - dark red and good sized, I'd go with blue. You can find nice blue ones and then if for some reason, it were to die - you wouldn't feel as bad about losing all that money on top of the loss of a beautiful specimen.
 
I use to have a red carpet, but hurricane gustav killed it. I paid a nice penny for it to. I have all sps and a couple of clams fright now, I am just considering adding anemone back into my tank.
 
red all the way. the red stands out alot more than the blue in my opioin.
