Hello all!

Wanted to start up the conversation for all of us hobbyists to remind us all about the constant battle we have in our tanks keeping pests out! Currently I have a small Red Planaria Flatworm issue in my UNS 5N macroalgae dominant tank. This week on my YouTube channel I created a video to help hobbyists identify, understand, and learn some ways to combat these little punks!

What do you do to combat Red Planaria Flatworms?

Many fish will eat them, including target mandarins, scooter blennies, many wrasses. They dissolve in fresh water. If you can remove a rock or coral, just give it a quick swirl around in fresh water. They will release and quickly die and dissolve.

Used Salifert Flatworm eXit last week on my 180g & killed lots of worms. This week used again, but no worms died/floated/strung. Want to ensure no eggs hatch giving resistance to product, but unsure how long must I keep treating for red planaria
