Red planet placement

My red planet is very high in my tank with the tips of the branches being about 7-8 inches from a 250 watt Phoenix bulb. It is pure pinkish red without a hint of green, even in the shaded areas of the colony. It's the pink colony in the top right of the picture. In my frag tanks it develops a green tint to the base.
