I started dosing my 200L Red Sea reef tank about a month ago with the 4-part dose mix and my calcium is creeping up from 400-480 ish.
I know I need to reduce the dosing volume but can I only reduce the Calc/Mag dose, or do I need to reduce them all proportionally?
Cheers!
I have a Red Sea Nano XL and have the same problem. I was using their dosing calculator and my Calcium got as high as 500 with alkalinity in the 13 dkh range. I stopped dosing for two weeks and things are better now numbers wise. I restarted dosing and just cut in half what the calculator recommended. Parameters are better now. You do have to follow their ratios of doubling the second bottle and halving the third and fourth bottle amounts compared to whatever you dose for bottle number one.
You can reduce only calcium which is bottle one if only calcium is high I guess, but for me that did not fix all the other high parameters.
