Hello,

I have a Redsea Led90, they say to use their default settings and use acclimation mode for your corals. Anyone have experience with that? Right now I'm running preset 20000k on acclimation mode (about 50% power and up a % every day for 50 days. At max the setting is 100% blue and like 50% white.

Basically want to know if this will be too intense by the end of the acclimation period.

I have the LED50 on my small tank and did the same thing and it did bleach my Monti. However, It is a tiny frag tank for QT so maybe due to the small size I should have really down played it. It is only a 10 gallon island all in one tank.

Did you have acclimation mode on to gradually increase the power? My light is about 36-42" above my substrate bed if I had to guess.

What you’re doing sounds good. Don’t be afraid to change the temp based on your personal preference. I keep my blues at 75% on my sps dominant reefer250.

Yeah I did. I just think I had it too close and too intense. The light is only about 6” from water and tank is only about 18” deep.

Same. The white has little or no effect on the coral growth (very low par). My Redsea250 I have been running at 65% blue an my white ramp up to 70% at peak. These lights seem very intense at 100%
