My used RSM130 that I have recently purchased is running hot. It has the hood with stock T5 lighting. It does not have the water cooling fan in the back, but a vent cover in its place. I have temporarily unplugged the heater to make sure it’s not stuck on.

Most of the products for this tank have been discontinued. This probably has already been discussed before, but which fan is recommended to be installed in the back for cooling?

Find yourself an electronics store and pick up a cheapo for a few dollars. Or if you can find an old computer and remove the fans from it and a small power supply of the same wattage. There should be fans in the hood as well.
