Hi all,
Looking for some advice please. I have a Red Sea Reefer Max E 260, which I bought around 18 months ago with the intention of going along the saltwater theme. Health problems prohibited me from doing this at the time, so put the tank in storage.
I've now removed the tank from storage and have since decided to go along the freshwater route, as a complete beginner I felt this would better suit me at this time.
My question is, can I repurpose the Red Sea for freshwater and what do you feel I would need to do in terms of alterations?
I read info on not needing the protein skimmer, but the Max E has a pump that attaches to the skimmer, so if the skimmer was removed the pump would need to be removed also.
I have searched Google and not a great deal of info comes up.
Just wondering if anyone had any experience of doing this.
Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks.
