Help! My skimmer impeller looks like this.

I've been trying to find a replacement but it seems that the only option is to replace the entire pump! This is after about 18 months of use. If pump replacement is the only option then this is going to be expensive long term.

Does anybody know if there is a compatible part from another pump, another pump that will fit that has replaceable impellers or an alternative skimmer that will suit a max nano G2 XXL?

I should also add, I was perfectly happy with the skimmer before this. The pump model number is R40632. The tank is 200l so the bubble magus mini q is too small.

What did you ended up doing?
Red Sea sent me the RSK600 impeller as a replacement. It's very slightly different to the original but it fits and works so all is good. They should list this as a replacement part really. The skimmer performance has been slightly different since installing it but it's working well

I just bought my Max nano g2 xxl, and indeed it is a Sicca pump. @jimb090 how loud is your skimmer? Mine is running for a couple of days only, but it is quite loud and there are some vibrations too. I replaced both of the return pumps with the AI Axis 40, and if i do not run the skimmer the tank is dead quiet. Just wondering how your skimmer is performing. I was looking at the Tunze 9001 since it might be quiet, but i'm concerned that it is too small, since the 9004 seems to be too big.

Not the OP but skimmer is very good! I have the xl nano, same skimmer I believe. There is a sound, but it is mostly from the air intake, should not vibrate.

Mine is doing it's job also, it is just noisy, the pump i mean. There is a hum, buzzing and vibrating. Wondering if it just needs time to settle in?

Iirc? It took some time for it to “break in”. I removed the white valve after break in and it helped with both sound and performance.
