I check RO water nitrate levels with RedSea Test Kit. I’ve been told that it’s not suitable but when I check RO then the subsequent salt mix they are both the same results. The reason for the question is that the Test Kit shows Nitrates in RO at about 2-4 and the same in Salt . So I’m in effect buying salt water complete with Nitrates. It’s becoming a concern.

It is much more likely that the test kit is not that accurate. It is not an issue with just Red Sea... there are no nitrate test kits available for a cheap price that are all that accurate. These test kits are for no more than a sway, IMO. If you really want to know if you RO has any nitrates, then it will need to be sent for IC testing. Some will do your salt mix as well as your RO in one package.
