Hi there,

I have a relatively new aquarium, it's about 7 months or so.. have Lps and zoas and just 4 sps types....

I have been using seachen reef fusion 1 & 2 for maintaining parameters that benefit corals..

I saw red sea reef foundation ABC+ on you tube and that swayed me over to order it off Amazon.. it's the powder form..

Now I'm having 2nd thoughts..

I know I'll get the right opinion and advice here so here's my post..

Tks..

I personally doubt you'll notice a big difference between most types of commercial or DIY two part systems for maintaining calcium and alkalinity, assuming you dose to maintain the same alkalinity.

Some may have more or less of other elements in their additives, but whether that is good or not may depend on other aspects of your system.

I did burn the midnight oil and besieged you tube on this.. lol..
I am now of the belief it boils down to how consistent, constant and meticulous one is with testing, feeding and water change.. of you do that well, then probably there's not too much different in each of these.. what matters is your approach and getting the basics right..

So what I'll do is take a few pics and would you suggest I open a new thread with an update of my tank with the same angle photos every fortnight with my water params... would this help twofold, I'll get the right eyes on my tank to tell me if any course correction is needed and maybe it may just help another fellow reefer who's looking at options...
