Hi everybody. New to the forum. Just got back into the hobby after a 20+ yr hiatus. Need some help with a problem I may or may not have.

Upgraded my tank recently by adding the in-cabinet sump from Red Sea. Install went smooth. Get everything put together & after a couple hrs I get the water level in the return pump (Sicce 2.0) at exactly 6" like the instructions. Here is where I'm stumped.

The water level in the return pump chamber has dropped down roughly 1/2", but the level in the DT is down about 1". Will this eventually balance out & then I can add some water to the DT to get it back up to my desired level (to the top of the emergency overflow)?

Thanks in advance for any help.
