Hi, I'm thinking about pulling the trigger and getting a Rea sea Reefer 350 Deluxe. I've been out of the hobby for a few years now and a lot has changed. I was wondering if any one here has any knowledge with this tank or something similar. I would love to here some input, Good and bad before I make this jump.

No I was looking and didn't find any thing, thanks. How long have you had your system and what lights are you using?

It arrived 12/17/16 and got water in it 12/26. I found it easy to assemble, with a tight fit. The stand is rock solid. The tank is beautiful, I like the plastic on the bottom seams to protect them, and being able to remove the overflow grates for cleaning is awesome. Assembling the stock plumbing was easy, hardest part is adjusting the valve on the overflow but that's just about patiently making small changes and waiting.

I have diy leds on it, need to get a pic since I got both heat sinks mounted, there's a pic which one mounted in my build thread:

I also have a Red Sea 250. Love it.

Recently I purchased a Cad Lights Artisan II 125 gallon. I like the glass cover as it drastically reduces evaporation. Less maintenance. It also has a larger sump than the reefer 525 xl even. I also wanted a larger ATO capacity. In my case these items were important and I didn't want to buy and replace pieces of the system.

The reefer is still a great tank, no question. Quality craftsmanship.

Nice tank. I know I will have to replace the sump if I go with the red sea 350. I think it's just to small to run a refugium but on the plus side the red sea deluxe comes with a great set lights. I would think the glass top would hold in heat from the lights.

Mallorie what lights are you going with?

2 Radion xr15 g4. I debated going with a t5 fixture but our house gets hot and I wanted to avoid needing a chiller. I also really considered the Kessil ap700. I chose the radion because I can adjust the spread better with 2 single fixtures rather than the attached double fixture that is the ap700.

I'm currently looking at the Red Sea Reefer series, too. I'll probably follow this thread so I can see how your tank progresses, and whether you have any issues that I might have too. Please share any ups and downs!

Go ahead and plan to hard plumb your return pump. and the ATO is way to small. Other that that it's a great tank so far.

Here's some new pic of my new updates. Installed a new top off system. I'm using the Hydrofill 5 gallon reservoir with the JBJ ATO unit with the Apex utility pump with the power supply. I'm also using the stock ATO until I decied what I want to do with it. 7 1/2 Gal total.
