Hey guys I’m looking into a Red Sea reefer 425 and they just came out with their new g2 line of tanks and I just wonder if it’s worth the extra money or if I should cut into the sump in the old style and save the cash?anyone with any insight on this ? I’m looking and going to pre order if it’s the right way to go

I went with the G2 myself for the reasons below

1. The sump is ReefMat ready. (the filter sock chamber is removable without cutting or mods)
2. G2's have seam armor
3. new easier to get it right gate valve.
4. reenforced cabinet made with plywood.
5. new sexy red accented pipes
6. Now comes with 3 year warranty instead of 2 (can extend warranty for another 2 years )

I saw the G2 at RAP. It's a really solid upgrade from the old line. I suggest going with the G2.

Do you have to put together the stand still?
