Welcome to my Red Sea Reefer 650 Peninsula thread [emoji4]

Fast forward 6mths on and my tank is doing well [emoji4]

Here’s some details: My original plan was to build a custom 6ft reef that matched my sitting room furniture - I created a thread and plans went on and on....

However after calculating the cost of purchasing specialist oak cladding and some persuasion from friends, I opted for a Red Sea Reefer 650 Peninsula instead.

What a great decision that was! The build quality of the Reefer and Red Sea customer service that I received was amazing... So here goes my visual journey so far...

Cheeky little control panel I built out of the wooden box the Reefer was shipped in [emoji12]

I’ve wrapped the back panels and sump in Black to matched the rest of the sump area and hide cables etc. Also installed the UV.

Looks great! Beautiful fish and reef.

Thanks - been through the usual dinos etc, but getting there now (just a little cyano in the sand left to manage).

A friend of mine was going through a hard time with STN, so I’ve been fortunate enough to have some lovely SPS pieces of him so he’s got back up if he continues to lose what he has.

Amazing!
Did you have to make modifications to the sump and supplied piping in order to fit in the Clarisea filter?

Thanks [emoji4]

No mods, just had to shorten the down pipe to raise the ClariSea as high a possible to help the water force through - otherwise you end up going to loads of roll [emoji51] The down pipe is 32mm too, so an exact match to the ClariSea fitting [emoji1305]

Wouldn’t be without a ClariSea now...
