This has got potential I’m sure.. hard to see from the photo, but it’s got a green base and pink branches

As Jay would say.. “it’s got good genes...” the colours on these spath frags are starting to look ace at night now... (need to get a DD lens filter)

Just ran across your thread. I'm in the same boat you were, trying to decide between a 6' custom peninsula or the reefer 650 pen. Your reefer looks great!

How did you end up beating dinos?

Thanks. The reefers are stunning tanks and Red Sea offer amazing service if anything isn’t right - you just have to call them.

Dinos were smashed with high nutrients in the end - you need Po4 around 0.25 or above and No3 10 or above.

My system has been running 25 - 50 No3 and 0.25 - 0.5 Po4 for ages now and I’ve seen no ill effects to the coral (other than slightly darker colours). People chase parameters, but its stability that you need to maintain.

Thanks [emoji4]

No mods, just had to shorten the down pipe to raise the ClariSea as high a possible to help the water force through - otherwise you end up going to loads of roll [emoji51] The down pipe is 32mm too, so an exact match to the ClariSea fitting [emoji1305]

Wouldn’t be without a ClariSea now...
One more question here... What did you do about the trays for the filter socks and the holders for the trays. I know that the trays slide out, but what did you do about the holders for the tray? They seem missing in your pic.

I cut them all out using a Stanley knife [emoji1303]

So I have some good and some bad news [emoji849] after 4mths in QT my Powder Brown decided he’d had enough.

I noticed over a few days he started to look down - he wasn’t as active and wasn’t on his food like normal.

I put my Kole Tang back in QT because I wasn’t happy with him and fresh water dipped the Kole, Purple and Powder Brown to be safe. Ive done these dips loads of times now and I’m confident with what I’m doing. For some reason though, the Powder Brown didn’t respond well at all and swiftly gave up the ghost shortly after going back into QT with the others.

I’m gutted, disappointed in myself for keeping him in QT for so long and heart broken, because he was one of my favourites. I think 4months in a boring QT tank was just too much and the stress just finished him off.

Anyway, on to the good news, my fish in the DT are doing great and we’re at the 2week mark now. So with that, here’s some pictures:

Powder Blue Tang and Copper Band are doing great in QT, currently on day 6 of CP. I’ve noticed a slight reduction in appetite from the Powder Blue Tang, but hopefully he’ll be fine.
