Is this something I should be concerned about, or can I place it in my tank? There are red spikes on my trochus snail. I pulled on them and they did not come off (same with a toothbrush). It's a captive-bred snail from @AlgaeBarn

Probably some sort of macroalage. AlgaeBarn has several macro species that could look like that as chewed-up stubs, and I doubt they have any nasty pest algaes running around their captive-breeding snail tubs. Leave it on, see what grows.

Leave it on in a quarantine tank or just toss it in?

Just toss it in. Reasonably, that shouldn't be anything invasive. Plus, the snail would likely starve in a quarantine tank.
