I understand that the Red Spot Cardinalfish is supposed to be difficult to keep alive for whatever reason, but the folks at LiveAquaria seems to have good success with these guys (was reading a thread on RC). Anybody else here besides them have any luck?

They need to be fed frequently and a lot of fish are capable of eating them.

I bought ten and they all stopped eating over time and within a few months they were dead. They were never bullied and had plenty of food. I saw no signs of disease or any other trouble. I have no trouble with any of my other fish and never figured out what happened to them.

I tried them twice from LA, neither batch lasted more than a couple of months. I feed frequently all day and evening, frozen mix with some flake and various coral foods mixed in. I am sure that they didn't starve. I have yet to read where anyone has kept them for more than a few months. Of course that could be their lifespan, we do get adults.

Thank you all for your first hand experience, looks like I better pass on them for now!
